Common Retinal Conditions
Age-Related Macular Degeneration
Affects central vision, leading to blurriness or blind spots. It has two types: Dry (gradual vision loss) and Wet (sudden vision loss due to leaking blood vessels).
Diabetic Retinopathy
Damage to the retinal blood vessels due to diabetes. It can cause vision loss if left untreated.
Retinal Detachment
The retina pulls away from the eye wall, leading to potential blindness. Requires immediate medical attention.
Macular Hole
A break in the macula, causing blurred or distorted central vision.
Epiretinal Membrane
Scar tissue on the retina, leading to distorted vision.
Retinal Vein Occlusion
A blocked retinal vein causes blood and fluid leakage, leading to vision loss.
